About the Teacher

Ms. Lee is from Oxford, Mississippi. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance, emphasizing in flute and violin performance, from the University of Mississippi in May 2018. During her time at Ole Miss, she played piccolo in the marching band, and she became the first international student to be selected as drum major. She served in that position for two years. Ms. Lee has also served as the president of the Korean Student Association, worked in the UM Office of International Programs, and conducted campus tours in Korean for 4 years. She has performed with the UM Wind Ensemble, the Basketball Pep Band, and the Opera Theatre Orchestra, and she has served as concertmaster for the LOU Symphony Orchestra. She was inducted into the Hall of Fame at Ole Miss in 2018. She was also a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, where she served as the student board member at the University of Mississippi. Ms. Lee graduated with Master’s Degrees in Music Education and Music Performance in flute and violin performance, minoring in instrumental conducting. She also served as a graduate assistant for the Ole Miss Band. She studied violin with Dr. Selim Giray and studied flute with Dr. Nave Graham.


In 2021, Ms. Lee worked in the the Homewood City Schools and helped lead the Homewood High School Patriot Marching Band in the 2022 Tournament of Roses Parade. She actively performs in the Mid South, including performing the Star Spangled Banner for Ole Miss Athletic events. When she is not teaching, she enjoys going to Ole Miss sporting events, especially football and baseball.
