About the Teacher

Education                                                                                    After graduating high school, I attended Southwest Community College for a year and transferred to the University of Tennessee at Martin (UTM). I graduated UTM in 2011 with a degree in Integrated Studies K-6 (Elementary Education). Later I decided to become certified in middle school math and obtained the certification to teach secondary math.  In May of 2017, I graduated with my masters degree in education.

I have worked with children in some capacity since I was seventeen years old. I decided at the age to become a teacher. After graduating college I taught a year of Pre-K and then a year of fifth grade at a small private school in Cordova, TN. I  taught at LCMS for three years, SMS for three years, and this will be my first year at CHHS. I  have taught fourth/fifth grade all subjects, sixth grade social studies and science, and seventh grade math. I love teaching math.
