I am proud to say I received my Bachelor of Arts in English Education degree from the University of Mississippi. While at Ole Miss, I was part of the inaugural class of the Mississippi Excellence in Teaching Program. Through this program I gained early insight into a variety of teaching environments, strategies, and philosophies. I will forever be grateful to the many members of the Ole Miss family that allowed me to experience these aspects of teaching and learning!
As a student at Ole Miss, I got involved in the Ambassador program in the admissions department and had lots of fun touring potential students and families around campus. It was through this organization that I met my wonderful husband, Chaz. Chaz is originally from Hernando, so we were excited to come back to Desoto County after we got married!
On the weekends, you can find us at the movies or playing with our golden retriever, Apollo. We are also members of Colonial Hills Church where we have gained many of our best friends. I have previously taught 6th and 8th grade ELA, and look forward to teaching compensatory reading and English 1. This is my second year teaching English 1 and Compensatory Reading at CHHS and I am thrilled to share with you!
