Bio
I knew from a young age that I wanted to become a teacher. I yearned to make a positive impact on students the way that my favorite teachers did on me. I am thrilled to be able to do so at Center Hill High School! I believe that all students are capable of being successful, and my goal is for my classroom to foster the creativity and learning necessary to encourage students to not only be successful, but to challenge themselves as well.
I was born and raised on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I was a member of the inaugural class of the Mississippi Excellence in Teaching Program (METP) at Mississippi State University. Following college graduation, my husband and I decided to move to the Memphis area. Together, we have two dog children--Pebble and Piper.
My last name is pronounced "Jack-Oh," though it looks nothing like it!
