Jacksonville State University - Bachelor of Arts: Instrumental Music Education (w/ a focus in percussion)

Jason Cole, a native of Mobile, AL, is a graduate of Jacksonville State University where he earned a degree in Instrumental music education. Studying percussion, Jason had the great pleasure of learning from Dr. Todd Mueller, Clint Gillespie, and Dr. Thomas McCutchen. While at JSU, Jason performed in virtually every performance ensemble offered including Chamber Winds, Hardcorps pep band, steel band, mallet ensemble, “Q” contemporary music ensemble, and the Marching Southerners.

While a member of the Southerners, Jason performed as a member of the quad line (09-10) and the Marimba line (11-13). Jason has been principle percussion of Chamber Winds and the front ensemble section leader of the Marching Southerners.

As an educator, Jason has worked with several fantastic high school percussion programs such as Albertville High School, Heritage High School, Rome High School, East Coweta High School, Ola High School, Carrollton High School, and several others.

Jason Cole is a proud member of the National Association for Music Educators, Percussive Arts Society, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
